UPDATE 09-09

I am trying something new this time. Among the suggestions for reviews from here and other forums and groups, I have received a surprising amount for movies featuring cartoon characters. Who would have thought. This week I am reviewing movies starring characters from classic Saturday morning cartoon shows, and coming soon are reviews based on comic book characters ( Not counting reviews already done for "Batman Returns" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" which was partially based on a comic book Kevin Smith wrote. )

Note on clear plastic outfits:
While I have received many emails requesting I review more movies featuring this particular material, no one is suggesting any movies that actually have clear plastic as fetish outfits. Most suggestions are for movies with actresses wearing clear plastic raincoats or parkas. These outfits were not meant to be sexy. That does not mean that I will not review the film ( I currently got
"Dick" with Michelle Williams wearing a pink clear plastic raincoat on my films to review list as well as others ) but I would like to review some films where the actress is not wearing the raincoat over normal clothing ( see review of "Deadly Circuit" ) but over something meant to be sexier ( see review of "Alive" ) or perhaps like with the movie "The Limits of Control" a clear plastic raincoat on an otherwise nude body. And I would like something other than raincoats. I know that clear plastic jumpsuits and catsuits exist. I have seen them at fashion shows and in many porn films. There has got to be some mainstream films with these outfits in them, so I will ask here what I have asked elsewhere. If you know of any movies with true clear plastic fetish outfits then let me know.

This is all that comes to mind. The world is not full of plastic wrap movies, and when it is used, it tends to be in horror.

I see you've been making mild progress with finding clear plastic outfits.

Someone stuck the whole of Punisher on youtube.

Update for January 2011

Postby LadyInLeather » Fri Jan 07, 2011 11:53 pm

This will most likely be the last of the Latex Movie Reviews. As you know, Associated Content was recently purchased by Yahoo, and as such has decided to censor the content submitted to their website. The five films here were submitted nearly a month ago and were not accepted until recently. I have noticed it taking longer and longer for AC to accept my submissions of the Latex Movie Reviews since the announced Yahoo purchase, and these did not turn up until I was away on vacation. I suspect that anything submitted after the 15th of December were subjected to the new guidelines. Reviews I submitted after that date were rejected for the following reason. "Associated Content does not publish articles of a pornographic nature. Please edit and resubmit " In other words they wanted a normal review with no mention of any fetish outfits in the films. The following reviews were rejected as pornographic: Miss Sadie Thompson ( 1953 ) with Rita Hayworth in a plastic raincoat, The Avengers ( 1998 ) with Uma Thurman in a leather catsuit,Dick ( 1999 ) with Michelle Williams wearing a pink clear plastic raincoat and Kristen Dunst wearing a blue vinyl raincoat ( O.K, I can see where someone took one look at the title and assumed the worst here ) Cat Woman ( 2004 ) with Halle Berry wearing a disappointing leather outfit considering the character she was portraying, and Batman ( 1966 ) with Lee Meriwether wearing the same catsuit from the classic television series that Julie Newmar and later Ertha Kitt wore. All in all the tamest grouping of movies I ever reviewed and yet all rejected as pornographic. And now under Yahoo, Associated Content is no longer paying for reviews. It is strictly performance pay, or about a cent for four page views from separate PCs. Unless I can find another host site willing to publish the Latex Movie Reviews or convince Associated Content to publish the current reviews as is, then I am afraid this may be the end

Awww

You could continue to publish them here. I'm not sure how big your fanbase is as robotstore, and how much comment you derive from that. KG runs a blog apart from the forum, and when he was more active in it, he got large amounts of suggestions from large amounts of people passing through. You may need that to thrive. A few people here have their own blogs offside, as you can see from the signatures, but I think posting here is not a bad option, because it's the world's main open forum on this topic. You can see that this thread has 3000 views, against the Music Video Sideshow thread, which you can use as a control. So, there has been a few people coming into it from Google, even though you have not been inserting keywords into the thread. What you won't get here is random comment, because people coming in off google have no way to say anything to you. To combat this, you need some sort of open access blog format. KG's blog has survived for 4 years, which suggests that blogspot.com is OK for his application, (which is similar to yours) however, I know of many blogs that have been taken down for pointing to video content.

Cunningly manipulating Youtube is an option, because you can upload strategic video content to get views. Youtube allows linking to blogs, and also you can 'favourite' things - other people's content, which shows up on your channel. People will follow that, admittedly to other people's channels, but it allows you to pad out your channel with other people's illegal content, thereby limiting your exposure to being stomped on by Youtube - which will eventually happen. In that case I notice blog and youtube runners putting up formulas for how to find them after they have been dumped.

You can see, here, also, that KG has surprisingly maintained an oasis of publicly available material. He has only run into problems with webhosts because they have been incompetent, not because they have asked him to remove content. I guess webhosts want your business, and copyright owners know that you can easily relocate your content to another host, so in today's climate they leave you alone. In yesterday's climate they would have sent you death threats. Maintaining your own web site requires the hefty sum of about $4.5 per month. This is such a large figure that sometimes entire forum populations have been unable to come up with it, so forums often have to place obnoxious ads on each page, or beg for donations. However, once you have coffed up the money, the host allows you to do numerous nefarious activities.

Another strategy is to pay for a domain name ($10 py) and forward the domain to your blog. Put anything you like on your blog, and then when you get banned, you move to another blog host, and redirect the domain name. You were going to pay for a domain name anyway to impress your friends, weren't you?
